Crestron systems are found almost everywhere: work, home, colleges and government offices. Given the current situation facing all of our global customers, we put together these simple steps on how to clean and disinfect Crestron touchscreens to help protect the people who use them. Keeping our customers and their families safe from the transmission of COVID-19 is our first priority. Per the CDC recommendations, frequent cleaning of high touch surfaces is important.

Crestron has verified a method of cleaning and disinfecting that applies specifically to TSW/TSS x60-Series touch screens and Crestron M-Series conferencing devices. Crestron recommends cleaning and disinfecting only with a solution of 70% isopropyl alcohol.

Guidelines for cleaning, disinfecting and protecting Crestron TSW/TSS x60-Series Touch Screens and Crestron M-Series conferencing devices:
1. Use a solution of 70% isopropyl alcohol, moisten a non-linting microfiber cloth until it is damp but not over-saturated.
2. Gently wipe down the exposed exterior surfaces, including the touch screen and housing of the devices. To prevent inadvertent damage, don’t allow any moisture/liquid into any openings and don’t let any moisture/liquid pool on the unit.
3. If water marks appear, they may be removed by gently wiping with a clean, non-linting microfiber cloth.
4. Do not use any bleach-based or chlorine solution of any kind on Crestron products.

Many of our customers rely on our switches and touchscreens to stay connected, productive and informed, often in the most demanding environments. Our goal is to make sure we’re doing all we can to keep our customers and their families safe.
